I come 1-4 Sunday’s a month here to enjoy my Italian sammich along with the pizza slices they readily have available to eat. The hospitality from Anthony and the staff members keep having me come back. This is great place to eat for the family or for grabbing a whole pizza pie to go. Prices are great $-$$ and parking is right out front. Thank you :D

One of my favorite restaurants in all of Sarasota! Pizza is delicious and heated up to perfection upon ordering. Enjoy the availability of side salads as well. My one piece of constructive criticism would to be to get a system down where customers don't have to state what they ordered to multiple people through the process -- I've definitely had other customers' pizza slices end up in my box a few times and had to ask for the right one instead.

If you want an authentic NYC pizza, Il Pan rocks it. The key is the crust which they use semolina on the bottom which is just so awesome. Fresh ingredients, lots of cheese, I could go on and on. Rock on.

My friend and I were craving New York pizza, so we went to the downtown location for lunch. Pizza was delicious and flavorful, loved the interior decor. The employees were very friendly too.
While we were there, a homeless woman came in and looked in the trash can for leftover pizza. The restaurant (understandably) told her she had to leave, and one of the guys making the pizza, who was on break, went and gave her the rest of his lunch. She started crying she was so happy. The manager told me that they regularly give food to the homeless that come in. I know the complications that must arise from giving away free food to the homeless, so I appreciate even more how much the restaurant keeps their hearts open to the needy. Three thumbs up Il Panicicio. We will be back, and will bring our friends. ❤

Calzones to die for!
Ricotta cheese is the secret ingredient. OK, maybe it's not a secret, since it lists it on their menu, but it is what makes the Calzones taste amazing.
If I lived near here I would weigh 300 pounds (or more).

Their sauce rocked my world!
Had an absolutely fabulous lunch at Il Panificio. Started by sharing a slice of their Sicilian Pizza with my wife. Crunchy, delicious crust; fresh, plentiful cheese; and incredible sauce. Then had a Chicken Parm sub. Oh my! The roll was perfect with just the right crust, chicken was delicious, fresh parm, and again... oh that sauce! Prices were reasonable. We'll try all their locations.
Large pie reasonably priced. We had the cheese pizza and it was good. Thin crust with cornmeal on the bottom. Not a lot of sauce or cheese, but kinda like the pizza we got in Italy. I would go back.

Finally good pizza in South Sarasota!
We have always been a fan of Panificios thin crust pizza and were disappointed when they closed the Gateway Ave. location. We recently ordered carry out at the new Reynolds Rd, location, around the corner from Mello Mushroom. When we arrived the pizza was just coming out of the oven piping hot. We ordered 3 large pizzas and they were prepared exactly as we ordered and as crispy and tasty as we remembered!

Great pizza with no garlic!
Unfortunately I can no longer tolerate onions and garlic in my old age. This place makes great pizzas with no garlic, but they’d be great pizzas by any measure. The branch near Siesta Key seems to be having a problem with their relocation, but check the downtown location if they don’t figure this out soon. Delicious!

Great Authentic Italian Pizza! Also has sandwiches, sodas, juices, desserts, etc. - GREAT staff that work there, always friendly, always helpful, all positives other than the price is VERY reasonable... So it's "positive" but, better said is that the pricing is VERY reasonable. I had lunch twice the past week there- Pizza + 2 Candy bars + Soda = UNDER $10! (Im 6' 4" - 205lbs; so I eat a good amount) - so me going out to eat anywhere for a full meal is usually will over $10... NIGHT CREW: Special thx to the night crew, they are always kind and helpful and hard-working! My office is down street, so I'm there often. OUTSIDE SEATING: There is outside available as well as inside. It's beautiful outside this time of year. I attached a picture to this review of my view as I eat outside and worked on my iPad.

Slices! Whole pie. Thin and thick. They have beer and wine, too.

I'm Italian. Sicilian actually. This is my go-to pizza place for the past 25 years. Always. Only. It's the best pizza in town. A little pricey. A large is going to run you 24 bucks. worth it. Serves beer and wine.
